Mokala National Park is located in the Northern Cape, about 80km south-southwest of Kimberley, with a landscape that is mainly large open plains and dolerite hills. The major tree specie found in these dry, arid and sandy areas, is the Camel Thorn (Kameeldoring or Mokala), which grows over a great area of the Northern Cape. The Camel Thorn varies from a small shrub about 2m high, to trees up to 16m tall, and is an important resource to both wildlife and humans who survive in these harsh conditions.

Accommodation in the Park consists of 3 lodges – Mosu, Mofele and Lilydale – with superb facilities for conferences and team building. The Lilydale Lodge has 12 chalets, and is self-catering with air-conditioning. The Haak-en-Steek Camp with one rustic cottage is self catering with braai facilities, and no electricity or air conditioner.

Kwenga Safari Lodge is located within the Umhlametsi Private Nature Reserve which in turn is bordered by the World famous Kruger National Park. Game drives are conducted in open 4 x 4 Safari vehicles and together with Guided foot Safaris. Umhlametsi is a wonderful venue for wildlife, birding, hiking, touring and golfing. The Madikwe Game Reserve is currently the country’s fourth largest reserve. It is situated in the North West Province and is bordered by Botswana in the north, the spectacular Dwarsberg Mountains to the south, the Marico river to the east. Privately-owned Tau Game Lodge was built in 1995 and overlooks a vast natural waterhole, which attracts a variety of game. The Tau Game Lodge has a comfortable lounge, conference room, bar and dining room which are semi open-air and overlook the waterhole. Tau Game Lodge animals include Lion, leopard, black and white rhino, elephant, buffalo, kudu, gemsbok, impala and eland, cheetah, wild dog and many more.
