Mountain Trout Guest Farm and Lodge is situated on the mountainous Mpumalanga Highveld escarpment, and is located on the R38 between Carolina and Badplaas. This peaceful farm is characterised by rolling grass fields and breathtaking views of mountains, waterfalls and rivers.

Mountain Trout Lodge caters for beginners up to professional fly fishermen, and offers well-stocked dams and a river for fishing, as well as self catering accommodation in a double storey house for large groups up to 12 people, and a cottage that sleeps 4 people.

  • 4 Well-stocked trout dams and a beautiful 1.5km of river fishing along the Seekoeispruit, a perennial river running through the farm.
  • Comfortable, upmarket self catering accommodation.
  • Cosy double storey thatch with an additional rondavel overlooking the Homestead Dam,  accommodates 10 – 12 people in 5 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, 2 showers, a lounge with fireplace, a dining room and open plan kitchen, ideal for a large family or group of friends.
  • Fishermans Cottage – sleeps 4, overlooking the beautiful Homestead Dam.
