The Elephant Sanctuary Hazyview is located on a 600 ha reserve in the Mpumalanga Lowveld, near the Kruger National Park. The Sanctuary has a Elephant Sanctuary Reception, a Curio Shop, elevated wooden walkways and decks overlooking the water.

The Elephant Sanctuary Hartbeespoort Dam nestles in a malaria free area in the Magaliesberg Mountains, and provides a temporary home for young elephants. The Sanctuary offers a fully guided Educational Program to educate people about the anatomy, behaviour and habits of elephants, as well as providing personal interaction that include feeding, touching, walking and elephant-back riding.

The Elephant Sanctuary Hartbeespoort Dam offers accommodation in the Main Lodge that comprises four suites, with five rooms and nine beds, and the Bush Lodge that comprises six suites (11 queen beds) set in African bush.

The Dirtopia Winter Trail Run on Sunday, 24 June 2012, offers 2 routes (7km & 14.5km) with great climbing on jeep track through vineyards, single track trails, and scenic views of the winelands and Table Mountain in the distance.

Runners will be timed to compare with previous events, with refreshments on both routes, and drinks at the finish.

Dirtopia Winter Trail Run 2012:

• Venue – Delvera Farm, on R44 about 10km from Stellenbosch.
